Do you have any training?
In 1999 I received a Bachelor's degree in Audio/Video Production from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania. It was here that I learned my basic skills and then went to work in broadcast and audio/video related fields. I began this company in 2003 and besides networking with other professionals in this field, I spend at least 1 week every year in continuing education.
Do you belong to any business or videography associations?
On a multi-national level I belong to WEVA (Wedding & Event Videographers Association) and on a local level the GPVA (Greater Philadelphia Videographers Association).
Are you and your equipment inconspicuous at the event?
One of the most common compliments we receive is 'we didn't even notice you were there!' Our clients are pleasantly surprised by our discreetness and the extensive coverage.
Do you use lighting?
We never use lights during the ceremony, the preparations or post-ceremony activities. It is usually necessary to use lighting during the reception or party because of the low available light at most sites. More lighting can create better images but our goal is to provide the type of coverage you are comfortable with.
Do you bring back-up equipment to your events?
All of the equipment we bring has a back-up. Should a malfunction arise, we can replace it quickly and easily.
Will you be professional in your appearance?
We pride ourselves on being courteous and professional both in demeanor and dress.
On the day of the event, do you record other activities
besides just the ceremony or reception?
We base our coverage on an hourly rate and we'll be ready to go when you'd like us to be. We realize that every event is different and we strive to give you exactly the type of coverage that you're looking for. Quite often, coverage before the ceremony or between locations are where many of the most memorable events occur.
What do you do for sound?
Sound is often the most overlooked aspect in video production. We work very hard to make sure the audio is at least as good as the visuals. We never rely on the on-camera microphones and we'll set-up muliple sources at your event. Some may be wireless and others wired but we always run back-ups to ensure crisp, clean sound in every situation.
Do you interview guests at the reception?
If interviews are not requested they will not be done. We are more than happy to provide you with this type of coverage but we cannot guarantee that people will be willing. We never solicit the tables but rather find a nice spot away from the action to conduct the interviews. Prior to the event we will talk with you about who the individuals are and questions that may provoke better answers. Also, if you are booking single camera coverage, know that this will pull your videographer away from the main action of the reception.
Do you require a reservation fee for your services?
We require $500 to book our service and secure the date. The final balance is due on or prior the event date.
Can we select music for you to use in the editing process?
While many of our clients leave the music up to us, we welcome the opportunity to use songs that are special to you.
How long will the edited version be?
The edited DVD can range from 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on the length of the various activities at your event. You have the option to purchase the raw footage if you'd like to see everything that doesn't make the final edit.
How soon can we expect to receive our DVD(s)?
Turnaround time should be a major consideration when choosing a videographer. Our typical turnaround is 4-8 weeks depending on the season and current backlog. Every effort is made to give you the final production as quickly as possible but never at the mercy of incredible quality.
What does a final production look like?
Your footage will be creatively edited right in our editing suite. Some companies may sub out the editing work but we strive to avoid a cookie-cutter product and feel it necessary to keep your footage 'in-house.' You will receive the highest quality and most personal experience possible. Delivery is on a fully authored DVD with stylized chapters and navigation. We will create a custom theme for your DVD menus, labels and cases to make it a complete package.
Do you have insurance?
We are fully insured for any major catastrophe. If the location where we will be shooting your event or project requires proof of insurance, we are happy to provide that directly to them.
What forms of payment do you currently accept?
We are happy to accept cash, check, MasterCard, Visa and Discover.
